Gentle, Effective Chiropractic Care

No cracking or popping

Wilke Chiropractic might not be what you expect.

We don’t pop your back. We don’t crack your neck. We don’t force anything. But what we do works.

Beyond pain relief

Wilke Chiropractic works with your body to clear up neural pathways and get your brain, spinal cord, and nervous system working as a high-functioning team again.

We do it without pushing on your back or twisting your neck. Our approach is completely natural, uncommonly gentle, and remarkably effective.

Drs. Steve and Julie Wilke want your body to get so good at communicating with itself that it becomes stronger, more resilient, and smarter at responding to whatever daily life throws its way.

We want to do more than merely relieve your pain. We want you to heal.

Why you hurt

Every day, your body is bombarded by stressors – toxins, trauma, and thoughts – that can make you hurt.

Pain has a protective biological purpose, which is to let the brain know that something is wrong and needs attention.

How your body heals itself

When your brain receives a message that something is wrong, it responds with instructions that lead the body toward healing. When the body is healed, the pain goes away.

Your body’s immune system works thanks to the intricate communication network made up of your brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system.

When you feel well, it’s because your brain and spinal cord – your central nervous system -- are successfully managing the communications among your nerves, organs, muscles, ligaments, and tendons.

When healing comes too slowly

Sometimes it feels like you just aren’t getting better, even if the stressor that first caused your discomfort has long gone.

When this happens, it is because your body’s communication network has become overwhelmed, sidetracked, or derailed.

The nerves aren’t sounding the alarm to the brain. Or the brain is misinterpreting the messages it receives, or it is sending back incomplete responses.

When your body is having trouble talking and listening to itself, it doesn’t know what it needs to do in order to heal. Clearing the neural pathways helps it figure out what to do.
