Drs. Steve and Julie Wilke bring almost forty years of combined experience and training to their chiropractic practice. Since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1994, the husband and wife team practiced in Idaho and Texas before returning to the Midwest to open Wilke Chiropractic & Wellness in 2002. Through their years of study and experience, Drs. Steve and Julie have cultivated an approach to chiropractic that effectively taps into the body’s potential to correct and heal itself. Rather than the cracking or popping many patients expect of chiropractic treatment, Drs. Steve and Julie employ a surprisingly gentle technique which yields equally surprising results. Having spent thirteen years as a rugby player and endured more than his fair share of auto accidents, Dr. Steve has a special interest in the role high quality chiropractic care can play in injury recovery. He spends long hours studying what happens to the human body in car crashes, particularly in the area of whiplash injuries. He is the only doctor in Madison to have achieved both Motor Vehicle Crash Forensic Risk Analysis Certification and Advanced Certification from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. Dr. Julie says she can’t imagine doing any other kind of work. A mother herself, she loves working with mothers-to-be, mothers and children, and brings a nurturing, intuitive style to her practice. She balances her chiropractic technique, gentle enough for the most delicate of bodies, with other therapies that facilitate self-healing, including several soft tissue techniques and craniosacral therapy. |
