Why Chiropractic Treatment?

After a car crash, there may be several areas of your spine that have been injured, leaving some areas unable to move (hypomobile) and some areas that move too much (hypermobile). If these areas are not restored to more normal motion, these imbalances will lead to disc degeneration and the development of arthritis in the spine. This process will include neck and/or low back pain, headaches and many other symptoms.

To prevent this, Dr. Wilke will use a very gentle technique to help restore the normal motion of your spine and to help your body heal from your trauma.

Examination Tools

Following an automobile crash or work injury, it is important that the extent and details of your injuries be documented as accurately as possible. To accomplish this, Dr. Wilke will use 3 state-of-the-art instruments to obtain a complete analysis and understanding of your condition.

He uses the J-Tech Medical Trakker computer system for objective muscle testing and range of motion measurements, the Insight Millennium surface electromyography and thermal scan system to identify any neuromuscular imbalances and the Spinal Analysis System to verify any loss of motion unit integrity in the cervical or lumbar spine.

These instruments also allow Dr. Wilke to accurately measure and document your progress and to identify any residual deficits you may have.
